There's only one colourway — Purple — so size is the only decision you have to make. The gap between the two is bigger than it sounds: the larger one is fifteen inches longer as well as twenty wider, which is the difference between a throw and a bed cover.

Will the lavender fade?

Purple is the pigment that punishes careless washing more than any other. Reds and blues in a purple dye shift at different rates, so a hot wash doesn't just lighten it — it can pull it grey. Cold water and shade drying keep it lavender.
