Autumn Leaf Boho Reversible Blanket
Which colour and size am I choosing?
Both faces are patterned, so whichever colour you pick you are really getting two looks. Size first: 150 × 200 cm is a throw, 200 × 230 cm covers a bed.
| Choose | If this sounds like you |
|---|---|
| Sunny Fern | A bright room with plants in it. The lightest of the four — fresh rather than autumnal, despite the leaves. |
| Forest Green | Deep green against timber or cream walls. The safe one if you want colour but not attention. |
| Midnight Leaf | A dark sofa, a dark room, or a household where a pale blanket would last about a week. Pattern shows as tone rather than contrast. |
| Blush Maple | Warm pinks and rust. The one that makes a grey or white room feel less like a rental. |
| 150 × 200 cm / 200 × 230 cm | Smaller for one person on a sofa. Larger if it is going on a queen or king bed, or if two of you share under one blanket. |
The larger size folded in half on a sofa still looks right. The smaller one on a bed does not.
How much does the reversible side actually change things?
More than you would expect, and it is the reason this survives a redecoration. One face is the leaf pattern; flip it and you get the counter-side of the same weave — same colours, inverted balance, a quieter or bolder version depending on which way up it lands.
| Works on | Avoid |
|---|---|
| Plain sofas and armchairs, timber bed frames, a folded stack on open shelving, over a plain duvet, draped down one side of a bed | A room where the curtains, rug and cushions are already patterned — the leaf motif needs something plain to sit against |
Wash cool on gentle with like colours, tumble low or line dry in shade. The step people skip is the shade part — a boho-toned blanket dried in direct sun for a full afternoon will come back a shade paler on the up-facing side, and it does not even out.
One blanket, two faces, and the sofa looks different when you want it to.
The usual pattern with throws is that you buy one you love, look at it every day for eight months, and then quietly stop seeing it. Because both sides of this one carry the leaf design in different weight, turning it over genuinely resets the room — the same three minutes of effort as straightening the cushions, but the sofa reads as new. It also solves the more mundane problem of the side that gets sat on. Flip it, and the wear gets shared instead of one face slowly going flat.

Woven, not printed — and why that decides the lifespan
The leaves here are built from the yarn rather than stamped onto finished cloth. That distinction is invisible on day one and obvious in year three. A printed blanket has its design sitting on the surface, where every wash cycle abrades it a little; eventually the pattern goes soft-edged and the colours flatten. A woven design cannot fade off, because there is no layer to lose. The colour goes all the way through to the reverse, which is also what makes a genuinely reversible piece possible in the first place.
Weaving the pattern also gives it a physical edge. Run your hand over it and you can feel where the leaves sit against the ground. That slight relief is what stops a large botanical motif looking like wallpaper on fabric.
The four colourways
- Sunny Fern — Light and green-gold. Reads spring rather than fall.
- Forest Green — Deep and grounded, closest to a traditional blanket colour.
- Midnight Leaf — Near-black base with the pattern emerging in low contrast. The most forgiving in daily use.
- Blush Maple — Warm pink and rust. The one that changes the temperature of a cool room.
