Jacquard Stretch Recliner Sofa Cover
Will it fit my recliner?
One size, and it stretches. The spandex blend is what makes that work — it pulls to the shape of the chair rather than being cut for one model. But recliners vary more than sofas do, so it's worth a look before you order.
| Fits well | Check first |
|---|---|
| Standard single-seat recliners with a fixed back | Oversized or wide-body recliners |
| Rounded arms and squared arms both | Recliners with wide wooden arm caps |
| Chairs that recline with a footrest that folds away inside | Lift chairs and power recliners with side controls — you'll need to leave the control panel clear |
It's a one-piece stretch cover, not a tailored slipcover. Expect it to hug the chair, not to look upholstered.
Choosing your colour
| Colour | Worth knowing |
|---|---|
| Cream White | Lightest and most neutral. The jacquard pattern reads most clearly on this one. Least forgiving day to day. |
| Grey | The safe pick. Goes with almost any room and hides everyday marks best of the four. |
| Green | Warmer and more deliberate. Works if the room already has timber or plants in it. |
| Yellow | The statement one. Best when the recliner is the odd chair out and you want it to look intentional. |
Care: machine washable. That's the whole point of putting a cover on in the first place.
Nobody wants to talk about the recliner.
It's the most comfortable seat in the house and it looks the worst. Too good to throw out, too tired to have people see. Replacing it costs several hundred dollars and starts an argument about whether the new one will be as comfortable, which it won't be.

Stretch Is What Makes It Look Fitted
A loose throw-over always looks like a loose throw-over. This is a microfibre blend with spandex, so it pulls in around the arms and the back and follows the shape of the chair instead of draping over it. Slipcover-grip holds it in position and an elastic-band closure underneath keeps the bottom edge tucked, which is the part that usually works loose and gives the game away.
The jacquard is woven rather than printed, so the geometric pattern has actual texture to it — that's what stops it reading as a cheap cover from across the room.
Then the practical half: it takes spills, stains, pet hair and daily wear instead of the chair, and when it's had enough it goes in the machine.
