Ceramic is the easy part — it wipes and does not stain. The habit is what keeps it clean.

Tile, vinyl, sealed timber and stone — any flat floor beside the pan or behind the door.	Deep-pile bath mats and uneven floors. Ceramic has no give, so it wants a flat, hard surface to sit level on.
Bathroom spray, bleach-based cleaner, or hot soapy water on the ceramic.	Abrasive cream cleanser and scouring pads, which will dull the glaze over time.
A tight spot in a small bathroom — it has a small footprint and does not need wall space.	Somewhere it can be knocked sideways by a swinging door. It is ceramic; treat it like a mug.
