Which length do I need for my table?

All three sizes are 150 cm across, so the only thing you are choosing is how long the cloth runs down the table. Measure your tabletop end to end, then add roughly 8–25 cm per end for the overhang you actually want to see — the tassel trim is meant to hang past the edge, not sit on it.

If you are between two lengths, the longer one always looks intentional. The shorter one looks like it shrank.

The creases, and the tassels — how much fuss is this?

It arrives folded, so it arrives creased. That resolves itself; the tassels are the part that needs a moment of thought. Fringe on a tablecloth is lovely until it goes through a wash cycle wrapped around a zip.

Dining tables, console tables, sideboards, outdoor trestle tables, bed and sofa throws for a photo day.	Anywhere a candle flame sits near the edge, or where the fringe can catch on a chair arm every time someone stands up.
Gentle cold wash on its own, low or no heat drying, warm iron on the flat panel.	Washing it in with zips and hooks, hot tumble drying, or ironing straight over the tassels.

Out of the bag: shake it out, lay it on the table, and leave it a day — most of the fold lines drop on their own. If you want it sharp for tonight, press the flat area with a warm iron and finger-comb the tassels straight afterwards. Combing the fringe is the step everyone skips, and it is the difference between fringe and fluff.

Most dining tables are a slab of wood or laminate that nobody looks at twice, ringed with a couple of coasters and yesterday's post. Why the drape matters more than the print

A tablecloth either falls off the edge in a soft vertical line or it sticks out sideways like a sheet of card. That is decided by weight and weave, not pattern. This one is woven to hang — it breaks over the table edge and hangs down rather than tenting, which is what makes the tassel trim read as a deliberate finish instead of a loose thread problem.

The hypnotic bloom pattern is printed at a scale that still works when half the table is covered in plates. Small-scale prints disappear under a place setting; oversized ones get chopped into meaningless fragments. This sits between the two, so you still see whole motifs between the dishes.

Choosing your size

150 × 150 cm — square. On a round table it makes four soft points at the corners, which is the classic bistro look. On a square table it hangs evenly all round.
150 × 260 cm — the everyday dining length. Enough overhang at the ends that the tassels swing, not enough to pool in anyone's lap.
150 × 300 cm — for long tables and extended tables. Also the size people buy when the cloth is going to spend December on a table set for ten.
