Why jacquard, and not a flat-faced robe

A jacquard weave builds the pattern into the cloth on the loom rather than stamping it on afterwards. Two practical things follow from that. The surface has depth, so it grips water instead of sliding it around the way a smooth face does. And because the design is structural, there is nothing to crack, peel or fade off after twenty washes. Cotton does the rest: it takes water in rather than pushing it off, which is the whole job of a robe in the ten minutes after a shower. The trade-off is honest. Cotton takes longer to dry on the hook than a synthetic fleece does, so give it air and a hook rather than a crowded rail.

Pink — a soft, warm pink rather than a bright one. It reads as a considered choice in a plain white or grey bathroom, and it's the one people notice on a door hook.
Brown — the quiet one. Closest to what you'd find hanging in a good hotel, and the most forgiving with makeup, tan and hair product.
Green — muted and slightly earthy. Best in a bathroom that already has wood, rattan or plants, where a neutral would look like nothing at all.
M, L and XL — the same robe, cut with progressively more overlap through the body and more length through the sleeve. Size is really a question of how much wrap you want, not just how tall you are.
