What size do I actually need?

The mandala print is printed to scale, so every size shows the full pattern — you are only choosing coverage. The difference between them is whether this lives on a sofa, a bed, or across the foot of one.

Which side goes up, and how do I stop it going crunchy?

Printed velvet on one face, sherpa on the other — both sides are meant to be used. Flip it seasonally: print up when you want the room to look finished, sherpa up when you actually want to be warm.

The step people skip: brush the sherpa side with your hand against the nap while it is still slightly damp. It separates the curls before they set, and the difference in how it feels a week later is not subtle.

Why the two-face build is the whole point

A single-layer printed throw is thin, and a single-layer sherpa throw is plain. Bonding the two gives you a blanket with a structured face and an insulating one, and that combination is what makes it behave differently across the year. The velvet side is smooth and slightly cool to the touch, so it does not stick to bare legs in warmer months. The sherpa side is curled pile that traps air, which is what does the actual heating in January. Because the print sits on the velvet rather than being woven through, the mandala keeps its edges sharp instead of blurring into the weave the way a jacquard pattern eventually does.
