It only comes in 240 × 250 cm — is that too big for me?

There is a single size, and it is a large one — nearly square, and wider than most blankets sold as throws. That is deliberate, but it does mean this is a bedding piece rather than a sofa accessory.

How do I wash something this large without ruining it?

Big blankets fail in the wash for one reason — they get crammed into a drum that cannot move them, so the detergent never rinses out and the fabric comes out stiff. Everything below follows from that.

The step people skip: spreading the weight when it is wet. A blanket this size holds a serious amount of water, and hanging it from one rail is how a square blanket becomes a slightly trapezoid one.
